Vicky Feygina
Vicky Feygina came to TRIUM in 2014 with a B.A. in Political Science, M.A. in Public Administration from Concordia University and an Accountancy diploma from McGill. Well established, and with a broad hands on knowledge in financial control and of the multinational operations environment. Having consolidated her management consulting background over a number of years, Vicky came to TRIUM ready for an intellectual challenge and aiming to amplify her skills and achievements as well as meeting likeminded people.
Fast forward 18 months, Vicky is currently preparing to fly to Paris for TRIUM’s final Module 6 and here she takes a moment to reflect on her TRIUM experience. Vicky describes her TRIUM experience in three words challenging, eye-opening and gratifying. Approaching the end of her TRIUM journey she is grateful that she had the right support system to manage the pressure. She says:
An invaluable help to me has been the strong sense of camaraderie with other TRIUM students. Knowing that we are all going through the same challenges has given me the confidence to get through some of the most difficult parts of the program.
With academic rigour at its heart TRIUM attracts individuals like Vicky, those with established senior international profiles, a full workload and big ambitions. In the TRIUM classroom, participants are encouraged to challenge themselves and step outside their comfort zones to look at the business world from new perspectives. When asked what her stand-out moments were, Vicky says:
For me it’s a tie between Module 2 in New York where over the course of only two weeks my knowledge of finance increased dramatically or Module 4 in Paris where marketing and corporate strategy lectures were truly enlightening.
And what will be the most valuable takeaway from TRIUM?
‘The most valuable takeaways from TRIUM have been: knowledge – practical knowledge which elevates me as a professional and theoretical knowledge which informs me as an intellectual; awareness – a profoundly new way I now think about things, and last but definitely not least, my TRIUM friendships – the paradox of feeling so close to all my TRIUM friends despite the great physical distance between us all.’
Vicky and the Class of 2016 commence their final TRIUM module in February where they will present their Capstone projects to the board. Immediately following the module, many of the class will jet their way to Africa for a ‘Trek to Nigeria’ where they’ll explore business opportunities in this emerging market, once again supporting each other both professionally and personally to achieve their goals.
