Courage is the virtue you’ll always need. And ensure you’re helping others succeed, particularly other women. Leadership requires a fine balance of confidence and humility.

Women have to absolutely own their future, individually and collectively.
We may not own all the wealth in the world but we own a significant part. The female economy is considered the second largest global economy. Women control about US$28 trillion in consumer spending, globally, and earn at least US$18 trillion. We should leverage that economic strength with intentionality to achieve our desired goals. Providing incentives to encourage favorable policies and practices, and taking consumer action to ensure adequate compliance with such policies or practices.
From a political perspective, our votes should be leveraged with intentionality and we should demand gender equality actions from politicians when campaigning and hold them accountable when in government. We have a voice, we should be loud and bold.

Authenticity is key. No matter what, always be authentic to yourself. As soon as you are not, you are setting yourself and those around you up to fail.

Women in tech inspired me the most. It is one of the industries tougher for women to break into, and harder to move up the ranks. Women like Marissa Mayer, and new up and comers like Whitney Wolfe Herd are paving a path for the next generation.

The implementation of soft leadership has benefitted me tremendously as a female business leader in China. I have learned to embrace my female traits to build strong relationships with my team, business partners and clients helping me to build my business.

The biggest leadership lesson I’ve learned that benefited me tremendously would be the implementation of soft leadership.
As a female business leader in a country traditionally dominated by men, I have learned to embrace my female traits, being soft, caring, sensitive, and protective by nature to build strong personal relationships with my team, business partners and clients. And the strong connections and ultimate trust helped me to grow my business quickly and steadily.
“Be like water, shapeless and formless, it can flow or it can crash!— Bruce Lee". When in conflict, I do not clash directly. Rather, I "kill with kindness", and that approach had helped me overcome many challenging situations.

One of the biggest lessons I’ve learnt is that you can have very tough times and fail: it doesn't mean that you are not going to be successful tomorrow and it doesn't mean that you are weak; this is just the opposite!

One of the biggest lessons I’ve learnt comes from a serial entrepreneur, Aude de Thuin, founder, among others, of the Women’s Forum for the Economy and Society: you can have very tough times and fail – she failed in her professional life several times – and you can show your vulnerability by sharing your difficulties and failures as she did: it doesn't mean that you are not going to be successful tomorrow and it doesn't mean that you are weak; this is just the opposite!
