Module I - LSE, London
The TRIUM experience begins in London with an intense series
of courses that examine the many aspects of globalization.
Students are exposed to the broad international context
in which business decisions are made and study the close
interaction between the economic and the sociopolitical
spheres. The London module sets the tone for the entire
TRIUM program in terms of both its global reach and its
strategic perspective, as well as preparing students for
the courses that will follow.
Module II - NYU Stern, New York
In the first New York module, students begin to translate
the macro issues presented during Module I into the concerns
of executives who develop strategy for business units or
corporate enterprises. The courses in this module set up
some of the building blocks of an MBA program – strategy,
accounting and finance - with an emphasis on "real
world" solutions through the extensive use of case
studies and guest speakers from the worlds of business and
government.
Module III - Rotating - Shanghai
The first rotating module is held in China, where the study of corporate governance
flows naturally from the study of corporate finance in New
York, while providing an understanding of governance norms
that often differ from those of the U.S. and Europe. The
foundations of business and corporate strategies introduced
in New York are further developed in an in depth examination
of operations and supply chain management. The challenges
of start-ups for individual and corporate entrepreneurs
are also explored in this module. The academic courses are
supplemented by site visits and guest speakers with experience
of operating large and successful businesses in China.
Module IV - HEC, Paris
The TRIUM curriculum now moves to the concepts and practice
of strategy formulation, implementation and control. Topics
include marketing, mergers and acquisitions, alliances,
change management, and performance evaluation. Courses are
supplemented by special events and guest speakers who provide
insights into European legal and cultural environments,
and the ways in which such factors can influence key aspects
of organizational behavior and management practices.
Module V - Rotating - Emerging Market
In this module, we explore the challenges and rewards of
operating in emerging markets. Specifically, we explore
how general strategy must be informed by effective risk
management – a topic of particular relevance in emerging
markets. Negotiation analysis and practice are explored
in the context of intercultural exchanges. Finally, we explore
the political economy of development. As in Module III,
course work will be supplemented with company visits and
guest speakers.
Module VI - NYU Stern, New York
The final module focuses on the challenges of leadership
in today’s business world. Topics include bankruptcy
and restructuring, managing technology and the demands and
characteristics of professional responsibility and leadership.
Finally, student term projects, the capstone of the TRIUM
Global EMBA program, are presented at the end of this final
module.
